(More customer reviews)I have tried several lumbar back cushions and seat cushion. This is my overwhelming favorite - the gel is firm and comfortable to sit on. I have found the regular foam pillows to be insufficiently supportive and too bulky. This cushion supports the natural curve of my spine, eliminating back and psoas muscle strain. The only challenge is that in a car, you'll need to adjust your car seat for the added height of the cushion. I own 4 of these for the cars, as well as kitchen and office chairs.

(More customer reviews)What can I say? I started using Red Line products (oil, rear differential fluid and transmission fluid) in my 1998 Corvette several years ago and have no complaints. I get 31 mpg or so at 65 mph with an automatic transmission. Are better lubricants a factor in that? I don't know, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Good stuff and this was the best price I found.

(More customer reviews)I am a long time scanner user and own and have used many different ones over the years...from early crystal 8 channel ones to some of the very latest trunking, multi-channel units.I find this compact unit an ideal second or third scanner to carry in your car as it has so many great features to assist you when you are traveling...heading the list is the Close Call option.

The "Close Call" allows you to 'grab' any nearby strong signals, say from a tower along the road, the drive up window at your local fast food place or to find the frequency that is being used by that police car or fire truck in the next lane.A great 'sub-option' with CloseCall is the DND..."Do Not Disturb" setting that you can use.Any of the so-called "Priority" type options on most scanners cause the radio to interrupt every audio transmission at frequent intervals...usually every 2 or 3 seconds.The DND comes into play when you are listening to an active channel...and the DND suspends the 'interrupt' until the audio is over.And I can relate that IF you have a Priority feature active, it will cause a short bit of silence at the MOST critical time of the broadcast...Murphy's Law I guess...!So, running CloseCall with DND active gives the best of both worlds...a 'Frequency Finding' ability that does NOT become a huge pain at the most critical times...

The next most useful feature of this 355C is the way you can 'link' any combination of the scan groups.Nearly all other scanners make you choose between Police OR Fire OR CB OR Air...etc.This scanner allows you to choose to scan just a single bank..this might be your Private Bank of 100 channels of your choosing....or...any combination of Private, Police, Fire/Emerg, Air, Marine or CB.This means that when you are in open country where there are few radio transmissions, you can opt to scan every pre-programmed frequency in the radio..and that is close to 4000 channels...!!!...just listening to anything that might pop up...

While this scanner does NOT have actual TrunkTracking, I still use it to monitor our local 800 MZ trunking system by just entering the 15 frequencies that are used here, and then once a day, I lock out the one channel that is used for the Control Channel that day. I do this by use of the neat "Temp. Lock Out" button to keep the Control Channel quiet.Now it does NOT "lock onto" a TalkGroup..(I use a BCT-8 for that when needed) but most of the time the conversations will stay on the same freq. for the entire exchange, so you normally hear the complete conversation this way.

This is not a scanner that you would want if you intend on changing to a different set of freqs every day or so...it's not difficult to put in your own 100...or 200...or all 300 favorites, but once that is done, it's best to use this scanner as a very useful tool for listening to a LOT of channels and finding new frequencies to monitor.

And finally, this unit is very easy to use in a vehicle...it only takes the press of one button to alter the setup of the banks...so that makes it a very minimum distraction to your driving...it's not unlike changing stations on the AM-FM radio....but a LOT more interesting..!!

(More customer reviews)I got this specifically for the mp3 player aspects. It does have 2 outlets and a dc cigarette plug, though. I got such a killer price on auction that I figured if it sounded bad, I could still use it for a dc fan while camping.

I have a larger powerpack and I'm familiar with how they work. The instructions clearly state that the power remaining readout is NOT accurate until the unit sits idle and unplugged from anything for at least 15 minutes. The display while the unit is on is specifically stated to be used only as an estimate.

About the sound quality:I like techno/industrial/IDM. It is sometimes heavy on the bass. I have found the sound quality for my genre to be completely adequate. It is not my home stereo, but it does sound better than a boombox that I paid more for. The louder it is turned up, the worse the quality gets, as with most mid quality portable speakers. But, it has to get pretty loud for my ears to start balking at the noise. Really, it just doesn't sound that bad at all and I am pleasantly surprised, after having expected less. I plan to take it car camping and I won't be disturbing my neighbors with a too loud stereo, so this fits my bill perfectly.

The booklet says that the mp3 player has a minimum draw on the battery. I haven't played it till it has run out. I expect that it will run about 8 hrs or more. There are 4 speakers; 2 front, 1 each side. A flap on the front drops down to expose a recess where your mp3 player will be held with a large elastic band (I suppose it could just sit in there, too). You can use the line in to play the music or the usb to charge, or if your mp3 player allows, you can charge and play.

I plan to buy another for my daughter who lives on the beach. She doesn't want to take an extension cord to the beach and is sick of paying for batteries for a boombox that only plays cds. She'll be able to safely play her amplified mp3 player. Sweet!

I won't review the battery/powerpack itself. There are plenty of reviews under this model without the speakers. Just remember to keep it plugged in to maintain the battery with a trickle charge.

I had a hard time finding very many reviews for this. I hope this was helpful. Bottomline: Don't expect your home stereo. Think mid quality boom box. This is a great way to play all your mp3 music for a long time at a decent volume and with a decent sound quality.

The plug tag and inverter label read up to 80 watts while the manual states up to 100 watts for the plug. The heavier gauge alligator clip cables are for higher wattage applications or you may blow your power port fuse. The alligator clips connect directly to the battery. If you permanently hardwire the inverter buy 6 gauge wire with a 50 amp fuse up to 6 feet long or 4 gauge wire over 6 feet.Both included cables are 3 feet (91 cm) long. Remember, Volts x Amps = Watts. The inverter draws 512 watts when output is 400 watts according to the label.Output is a stepped modified sine wave and NOT sinusoidal.

When the inverter fan comes on it is noticeable like a radio between stations at moderate volume (took me some miles before figuring it was the inverter).The housing stayed cool at 85 watts.

When Black & Decker fixes their dead links the manual may be available at [..] (search for PI400AB). Lowes and Home Depot were [..]for this inverter.

(More customer reviews)I drive a 1996 Chevy S-10 truck with over 200,000 miles on it and a year or so ago made the switch to Royal Purple 5W-30 motor oil.I've been more than satisfied with the results and because of this I've been wanting to change my automatic transmission fluid over to Royal Purple for quite sometime.

Usually in auto parts stores, Royal Purple Max ATF runs about $13-$15/qt.However I found a case of it here on Amazon.com for an unbelieveable price, and even got free shipping with my order!I knew I needed a full case because I wanted to flush all of the old fluid out of my tranny and have soley Royal Purple inside.I found a lube change shop that would do this for me and even cut me a break on the cost of the procedure since I was supplying the fluid.I was told that usually they flush 14 quarts of fluid through a transmission to do the job, but would do it with the 12 quarts in the box.In their words, "it worked beautifully!"

So far, I've been more than pleased with the results.My transmission seems a bit more responsive now, much like my engine did when I switched to Royal Purple's motor oil.I also occasionally tow a utility trailer and I'm looking forward to the extra protection this synthetic lubricant will provide against heat buildup.

(More customer reviews)I use this grease on everything that requires it. Farm equipment, cars, tillers, mowers, you name it. I buy it by the case when needed. I stumbled upon Royal Purple (RP) products about 15 years ago, and this grease was the first product I tried. It sold me on the whole product line and I have never looked back. It used to be that the only way to get RP was in 5 gallon buckets, but now you can find it in just about any automotive store, in quarts and cases. You owe it to yourself and your equipment to try at least one tube of this stuff and see for yourself. Once it gets in between two piece of metal, you must apply tremendous pressure to get metal to metal contact. Great stuff, as is every RP product I have ever used.

Note, I went to Pep Boys to compare prices before I purchased this.Pep Boys wanted $4.99 a quart and there is 8.5% sales tax in my area so that works out to $5.42 per quart.12 quarts from Amazon works out to be $5.48 per quart, so unless you like driving to the store, standing in line to check out, just buy it from Amazon

(More customer reviews)I stream rip an online radio station (Radio Paradise, highly recommended) so I can listen to it in our cars using an older Sansa MP3 player. One of the cars has an MP3 auxiliary jack and that works perfectly.The other car doesn't, and so I've used a small FM transmitter to broadcast the output of the player to the car radio.That set up is bulky and clumsy, so I was intrigued to come across this small device.Sadly, it's not very useful for my purpose.

First off, I received the I-mobile in loose pieces from Amazon.Everything seems to be new, in kind-of sealed packaging, but each piece was loose in the box.There is no documentation. Period. No manual, no cardboard packaging, not even a small slip of how-to. Fortunately, there are other reviews here where folks have discovered how to make it work.

I plugged it into the cigarette lighter and used the provided 3.5mm cable to connect the MP3 player to it, kind of - the jacks on the cable appear to be slightly shorter than normal and don't fit very snuggly into the player.

Found an open FM frequency, set the I-mobile to it, and powered up the MP3 player.It started playing, then started "skipping", something it's never done (not plugged into the other car, nor when using headphones).I tried a better cable and still had the problem.Nothing I did made a difference.I verified the MP3 player still works correctly in the other car and with headphones.

I also heard high-pitched whines and other noise when using the cable, even after trying several other frequencies.

When I stream rip, I put the music on an SD memory card.So I pulled the card out of the MP3 player and stuck it into the I-mobile.Good sound, no whine.However, as noted in other reviews, when you turn the car off the I-mobile will reset to the beginning of the track you were listening to.For individual music pieces, such as an album I tried out, this is OK although I found it annoying.However, for a long piece such as a stream rip, this is useless.If you're on a long drive, and you're two hours into a four hour stream, when you stop for gas the I-mobile restarts at the beginning.There is no way to fast forward through whatever is currently playing so you're stuck listening to the music you just heard.

I didn't try using a USB stick.

The car I tested this in is a station wagon.The I-mobile was plugged in the front lighter.The radio antenna is on one of the back windows.I got good signal and sound with the SD card; you definitely need to crank the volume on the I-mobile to the max, though.

Pros:
- Cheap.
- Good sound with SD card.
- Compact.
- Good range.

Cons:
- Bad sound with MP3 player (whines, noise).
- Interfered with MP3 player operation (skipping music).
- Restarts at beginning of music when turned off then on.
- Can't fast forward within a piece of music.

I would not buy this again.
