(More customer reviews)The filter Amazon Ships is not the filter in the description.I have ordered this filter twice and had to return it both times.I thought it might have been an honest mistake the first time, but the second shipment arrived with the wrong part and it wasn't even the same wrong part that was shipped the first time.

This is supposed to be a DRY nanofiber filter made by Amsoil.It is supposed to be a blue colored filter medium.Both times I ordered this I was sent a red WET gauze filter similiar to a K&N product.

I even called Amsoil directly to verify this and was told that Ingen is not even allowed by contract to sell Amsoil products outside of Amsoil's online store.Maybe that is why they are shipping a non-Amsoil part.

Amazon.You're about to lose a previously satisfied customer.There is no excuse for this.

(More customer reviews)I just started using Royal Purple in my Mini Cooper S with John Cooper Works (basically, the supercharged, supercharged Mini).I actually noticed a difference in torque off the line and squeeled the tires HARD in 2nd gear.Although I don't have all the equipment to register the difference in fuel conservation, the guages inside my Mini started registering higher, expected mileage ranges.I previously would see that mileage range at about 480 miles on a full tank of gas (Hwy), but after Royal Purple, I saw the range jump up to 505 at one time.

Like I said, I'm not an automotive expert, but from what it seems to me, the Royal Purple has made a difference.

It comes with 2 sizes of brass NPT fittings to interface with your existing factory cooler,if equipped.Supposedly there is an orifice bypass which serves to prevent overcooling, I guess that's cool except if you live in Arizona where overcooling doesn't really happen and instead you'd rather have all the flow you can get.

In case anyone wants a reference of functionality, I have a 2001 S10 4x4 with 4.3L engine & 4L60E transmission. On 110 degree days at 75mph my transmission used to run 240F,now with this cooler it runs about 205-210F under those conditions.

(More customer reviews)I have used Mobil 1 in my 2003 Chev Tahoe since the first oil change and was considering the additional expense for the "extended performance" Mobil 1 oil.I sell industrial machinery and met up with a Mobil Engineer at a paper mill. This engineer swears by the stuff and was emphatic that it will perform to 15,000 miles under highway conditions.I have been using it for the last two oil changes, but I only run it 8-10,000 miles because I change my oil twice a year regardless.The filter needs to be considered as much as the oil and as long as I am going to be under the truck changing the filter, I'm going to dump the oil and grease the chassis. I use $10 Mobil 1 oil filters and the Mobil 1 synthetic grease.I found this oil much less expensive at my local Blain's Farm And Fleet store.They have it for $6.96 per quart.

I try to buy this product from Amazon when they have it on a "sale" or priced to move.and free shipping.(that's important.)so far it's been good.I can't say anything negative, because I change the oil on a regular basis so I don't let it get to bad.
So to say that it's better than the regular I can't but it seems to do good for my situation.

Update: The motor has started to burn oil more and I've only used this in it.So I guess I'm going to switch to a full synthetic.
On top of which I'm not sure that you're getting what you pay for with this product just because of the oil burning issue.Anyway, I thought that I would offer this update.

I thought the previous filters were the cause of an odd smell coming from the vents and these new ones would cure it. They didn't. However, the bad-smelling the air does blow with more force now!
