Blitz 41876 2 Gallon Drain Pan Review

No spills. The only thing I would criticize is that the pan is not as sturdy as it could be, but for the price, that's to be expected.

(More customer reviews)I just got this funnel for Christmas. I used it to filter hydraulic steering fluid when I was bleeding my newly installing Sea Star Pro steering on my Allison GrandSport. The new hoses had some debris in them & I strained the captured fluid through it. I was afraid at first that the fluid would have too much viscosity to pass through the screen, but no problem, it went through very quickly. It left me with debris free fresh reusable fluid. I look forward to using it for fuel & other fluids.

(More customer reviews)The auto parts stores in town NEVER carry these because they want you to buy more filters. So I always order enough of these from Amazon to get free shipping and I'm all set for both cars for months. They are cheaper here anyway.

I run Mobile 1 synthetic oil and use these to capitalize on the longer intervals between required oil changes. With these extended guard filters and 100% synthetic oils like M1 or the cheapest Amsoil 100% synthetics, I go 7000 miles (I could probably go more, but I'm conservative since oil is the lifeblood of an engine and aside from oil I don't do wonderful maintenance like I should).

The color of the oil IS dark, I agree, but the real measure would be to use a test kit on the oil to see if it is still protecting the engine. Color doesn't neccessarily mean everything. I would like to see 99% efficiency in an extended interval filter, but unfortunately to get that sort of protection you have to install a bypass and use two filters at once (one cheap and one 99% filter like K&N or purolator).

In short, Amazon has made it easy & inexpensive to avoid shopping around for hi- mileage filters of good quality. I'll keep buying these as long as Amazon keeps carrying them. The purolators are a good deal here also.

Mann-Filter MA 1000 Air Filter Review

I'm a bit obsessive about my vehicles' maintenance.I always worry if I let an air filter go too long I will slightly hurt performance and or gasoline mileage, so I try to replace them regularly.Once a year, or 15,000 miles or so.However, following your manufacturer's recommendation is always good advice.

To the point, I often use genuine replacement parts from my car's manufacturer, however, I have also grown to trust the Mann name.After all, Mann manufacturers filters for some manufacturers, including I understand Mercedes-Benz.

This filter arrived in a quality Mann Filter Box as shown in the pictures.It appeared to be made in Mexico. The quality was as high as any air filter I had seen.Very study and stronger than other filters.My only concern was that perhaps the filter seemed a bit more air restrictive than other filters, but surely that cannot be concluded on appearance alone.It fit fine in my auto, and the car runs fine.

Surely, Mann seems to be one of the higher quality filter manufacturers.
