(More customer reviews)Unlike most cabin air filters, the Fresh Breeze is impregnated with carbon and baking soda to reduce odors. It is hard to tell how much difference it makes, but the price is lower than for competing name brands. Physically the filter seems to be well constructed. I don't have a fancy laboratory to do any in-depth testing, but what mortal does?

Amazon's application fitment guide for this part is messed up. I know for a fact this size fits a 2003 Honda Accord and a 2006 Acura TSX, even though Amazon says it doesn't. Check the fram.com website to get the correct number for your vehicle.

Fram PH6017A Motorcycle Oil Filter Review

(More customer reviews)My experience by no means is a proven scientific method of analysis, but the trend I have experienced with Fram filters has been one of reliability. I used Fram on everything from motorcycles, ATVs, cars and my 4x4 trucks. Not one has shown any indication of failure. My truck with over 300K miles is well within its compression window and doesn't blow the least bit of smoke. My motorcycle has over 50K miles and it too doesn't show any appreciable wear.

Does that mean Fram is flawless? Nothing is, but I changed 1000s of engine oil for myself and 100s of friends over 30yrs. I am presently using this 6017A series on a Polaris ATV which is exposed to extreme conditions in the Florida swamps with much success.

Maybe Fram fails easier than others when you push the envelope with going long on an oil change interval. Since I change oil religiously, I may never know what the failure point of a Fram filter is, and I am certainly not interested in finding out the hard way.

I trust Fram as good balance between quality, reliability and cost.

Yes I would duplicate this order again and will if it is still available when oil change and filter time comes around again.

This purchase allowed me to have a cap for the oil filter too as well as new "O" ring which is necessary after a while over the multiple oil changes, but I prefer every oil change to be safe.

The price beat all local prices on this item and all Internet Prices I searched so needless to say I made the purchase along with a few other items needed and related. The free shipping was included with the purchase of these additional items and this review will be cut and pasted to those items as they are reviewed along with one added piece of information on the special socket for the oil cap removal review.

OTC 6903 Oil Filter Socket for Ford Mazda 2.3L Engines Review

(More customer reviews)This filter wrench works great for my 2007 Ford Fusion. The Fusion has absolutely no space around the filter since it is recessed up a few inches and I used to spend 20 minutes busting my knuckles trying to get channel lock pliers to grip. Regarding the user who said it doesn't have space for allen wrench to get in, well that's because it's not needed to remove the filter cap. The allen wrench merely removes the small drain plug in the cap to let the oil drain out before you pull the whole cap off. You remove the drain plug first and let it empty, then use this wrench to remove the black plastic cap to change the filter cartridge. I tried using standard size filter wrenches but the only ones stocked locally are 15 flutes which won't fit the 2.3l cap. Overall this has been a great time saver.

K&N 99-5050 Filter Care Service Kit - Squeeze Review

(More customer reviews)I love the squeeze bottle ... the aerosol bottle just sprays everywhere and is harder to control quantity and where it hits. It also seems harder to judge when you have applied to much, or too little.

With the squeeze bottle, you simply apply an even amount along the ridges on both sides of the filter and allow time for the oil to soak down into the fibers of the filter.

This way, you can start with a smaller amount and if it isn't enough to "soak to the middle" you know you need more, and can judge how much more based on how much you applied the first time and how much white space is left. After time, you start to get a good feel for the amount of oil needed to re-oil the filter.

K&N filters are also specifically distributed with a spec sheet showing the amount of oil needed, and this information can also be viewed on the K&N website. For instance, my car's filter requires 1.24oz of oil to re-oil the filter.

With the squeeze bottle it is very easy to determine how much oil has been applied - it's just liquid in a bottle and there is a gauge so you can see how much oil is in the bottle when you start, how much is left as you work, and therefor how close you have come to the K&N recommended amount of oil for a proper re-oiling job. With the spray can, knowing how much oil you have dispersed is difficult if not impossible.

K&N KN-204 Oil Filter Review

(More customer reviews)Yesterday I took my brand new V Star 950 Tourer in for first service at 600 miles. I supplied my own K&N oil filter (which I purchased from Amazon.com) for the oil/filter change. The service manager said Ok they would use it. In fact, he informed me that they sold the same K&N filters right there at the dealership.

Later that day, as I was checking out and paying the bill, the dealership owner made a snide remark about my using a second rate K&N filter and implied that it could result in denial of a warranty claim if I had engine problems.

Well after I got home and thought about it I wrote Mr. Dealer a concise e-mail to let him know that his comment disturbed me so much that unless he provides me a written affirmation that using a K&N oil filter CANNOT and WILL NOT affect any potential future warranty claims that I will CANCEL my 48-month Yamaha Extended Service plan and get a refund. I have 30 days to do that and receive a full refund (minus a small admin fee). I am anxiously awaiting Mr. Dealer's response.

But regardless of what the dealer says to convince me otherwise, I intend to cancel the Y.E.S. plan before my 30 day period ends. Why wait until 3 or 4 years down the road to find out the $700 Yamaha Extended Service Plan is WORTHLESS? By that time I could only be refunded a small fraction of the original contract purchase price.

Anyhow, I am still angry and disturbed and plan to tell my story to K&N directly. I'm sure K&N also will be angry and disturbed about this dealership implication.

(More customer reviews)This K&N is an excellent Oil Filter for your Dodge Ram Diesel truck. IT goes on good, keeps the oil clean and no flow issues at all with my Cummins turbo diesel. The big nut welded on the filter makes it easy to take off when its time for a change. A lot of Dodge ram truck owners use these filters and it was recommended to me. I am glad I tried it. I bought 10 more they were such a good deal. I think I will go change my oil now, all three gallons. Thanks K&N for an excellent filter.
